We are seeking a self-motivated lover of hard work and greenhouse sunshine to help with our winter farming tasks from November 2023 to April 2024, possibly beyond. Applicants must be organized, focused, strong and quick with their hands. They must also be able to manage their time and tasks efficiently and independently. Timelines are tight. Experience with farming and/or manual labour is a valuable asset. 

JOB DETAILS

We are a four season, organic vegetable farm in Millbrook Ontario. In the winter our main tasks include washing storage vegetables for markets and harvesting/washing winter greens from our greenhouse. 
Salary: $16.55 / hour (to increase with performance) 
Seasonal employment, part time 10-15 hours (2 days) / week

• You must be able to lift 40 lbs; work in cold conditions; work in wet (warm) conditions. 

• It's a fast-paced environment, where you can expect repetitive tasks, heavy loads, and physical demands, such as standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling; and loud noise. It's also really fun and satisfying. 

• The job requires that you have your own transportation. 

• Housing is not available.
